Hi...my name is Ellie and I love cinnamon rolls, gummy bears, rain, green grass, fuzzy bunnies and my beeeeeautiful family. But also...I totally love my photography. I love meeting new people and sharing my photography with them. I can be pretty goofy and I'm not afraid to make a fool of myself to get that perfect smile. Take a peek around and don't be afraid to leave some blog love...comments are quite possibly my favorite part of blogging. I love hearing what people think. Oh...and feel free to ask questions too!
Oh Natalia you beautiful girl you. You might remember her from this post. Well...she's getting married! And I was lucky enough to take her pictures. Here they are!
PS - Please ignore my centering issues. Blogger has decided it hates me and I've been fighting it ALL.DAY.
Ok...so I used to just refer to my client's by their 1st initials. Something about client privacy or along those lines. Well...then I realized that when people comment, they totally leave the person's name in the comments and that all I would have to do is make sure not to use people's last names. So...from here on out, I'll just call people by their first names. Also...I just have clients with the coolest names! Like this couple...
Her name is Lynlee. I'd never heard that name and I just love it! So pretty...and it totally fits her. Lynlee might be one of the most pretty people ever. And Steve...her boy...one of the nicest guys I've ever met. They are so so cute together! I just loved this session. But goodness gracious! It was COLD!!! And poor Steve didn't have a coat. Just a sweater. AND...to top that all off...the previous evening at 10:00 Steve had just gotten home from Iraq. Um...the weather there is slightly warmer than here... Needless to say...Steve was a little chilly. They were such good sports though and I had so many ideas involving snow but decided against them b/c we all started shivering. :) Well you two...here's your sneak peek! Hope you like 'em!!!
You know...I always tell myself that I'm going to wait until an entire session is edited before I actually post the sneaks. That never ends up happening b/c I just get so excited to share with the cute people I photograph. Plus...I always see WAY cute pics that I can't help but share with all of you. Like this one... Seriously. Have you ever seen such squeezable cheeks? And check out his adorable little cowlick on his forehead. Um...I love him.
...forgot it was Tuesday. This week I'm thinking it's probably going to be Texture Weds. I've been so busy! I know that's no excuse but honest, cross my heart...I have had no time to do a texture picture. Maybe that's because Season 3 of Chuck just came out...or rather, has been out but I just found out about it and have been catching up on Hulu. Maybe that's why...but I would prefer to just say I've been busy. :)
You'll remember beautiful M from the maternity pictures I did awhile back. Well...I got to do some newborn pictures and just thought I'd throw up a sneak peak for her. I'll put more on when I've edited more but I just couldn't help it when I saw this one. When I took this picture, I wanted the focus to be on M and I just love her expression. I love new mommies. They're just so glowey (hmmmmm, glowey...I think I just made up a new word!). Seriously T and M...your little boy makes me want to have another one and the Princess is only 10 months old. He was just that cute. :)
Also...just a quick FYI, I'm going to be doing some major reconstruction to the blog! Woot Woot! I'm not really saying what just yet but the watermark on this picture is here to STAY (kinda as a preview of things to come...)! EllieCutler Photography is getting a make-over for 2010. As soon as I get some proofs back to the graphic designer...it will all be revealed. :) So stay tuned
What a strange, good, not so good day! It started off having to go to work. And today is my 5:30 am day. Now I don't know about you...but I am NOT a morning person. The ideal time to wake up in my book is 9:00. 5:30 and 9:00 are very VERY different. Don't ask me why I like 9:00... it's just the time of day where I wake up automatically and I feel happy. Seriously. Warm fuzzies kind of happy. And luckily...my daughter feels the same way. Lately, she's been sleeping in until 9:00 or later. Ah...life is good.
ANYWAY! Back to my story! Work. Not such a highlight. If photography was my day job then I'd probably be ok but work...not photography. Don't get me wrong. I feel very very blessed to have a job in this economy and not only that...I'm INCREDIBLY blessed to be able to work from home. And I've been with this company a looooooooooong time so they've really gone above and beyond for me and I appreciate that to high heaven. But there's just something about going to "work." Hmmmm...I think I'm getting spoiled. Good grief...is it possible for me to stay on a subject today? Anyways! So after work...I did the dishes, went shopping with my sister-in-law, did some errands, and came home. After coming home, I attempted to make myself some late lunch/early dinner. Now...I am not the best cook. The Hubby does a lot of the gourmet stuff around here. When I'm really in the mood for it or I really want/crave something...I'll cook something. But this is what happens when I'm not really in the mood to cook...
That, my friends, was my pitiful excuse at trying to cook myself lunch. Can you even tell what it was supposed to be? After setting off the fire alarm...which, miraculously, did not wake up my sleeping baby...I just decided to heck with lunch. I'm going for the good stuff. And I pulled out this.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....kinda makes you wish you burnt your lunch today huh? Let me just say...SOOOOOOOOOOO good. I.Heart.Cupcakes. I'm very very glad cupcakes are back "in" right now because they've never been "out" with me. I love every gooey morsel.
So...I wasn't going to post any of these until I was done editing the session but in honor of my sis-in-law introducing me to this wonderful little cupcake shop (really, it was adorable...if anyone wants to know where to get one of the pretty things above, e-mail me and I'll tell you) I decided to give her a sneak peak of our impromptu session. Hope you like it dear! It made me smile...
...I couldn't stop myself. I went through and picked some temple pics out and I just have to say, I love them. I'll obviously post some more of the reception and things but I just had to share what a beautiful couple these two are.
I wasn't actually planning on posting any of these until I was done editing but I couldn't resist when I saw this one. I LOVE IT! I was/am absolutely in love with E's dress. It.Was.Gorgeous!!! I heart weddings... I'll post more when I'm done...along with stories on coming back home. Snow+Storm=Blizzard. Fun times...
